Default Metal wire exposed on *new tire

Hey, looking for some advice. Incidentally noticed this wire sticking out perpendicular to the center tread blocks. I took it to a tire shop and they told me the tire might be breaking up from the inside out? Seems odd, as these have only been used for one track day and probably less than 2k miles. There's obviously no other cord exposure. I just trimmed it for now and there is no air pressure loss. You think these are good to go back on track? Or just replace it?

Regarding track use................if you have to ask, you should just replace - for your sake and the sake of every one you share the track with.
What kind of tire is this? Track use would probably void any warranty, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

that looks like a staple you picked up and not a wire from the tire!
