Default Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect (240) vs Pilot Sport PS2

2003 911 C2, 18", currently been running Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. On Tire Rack they also have Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect (240) in my sizes.

They don't have any reviews on this tire, only difference I see is the rears are 97Y and the UTQG is 240, vs 93Y and 220 on the PS2's.

Anyone know anything about these tires? I'm thinking of getting them instead of the PS2'. They're almost the same price. I daily drive the car in south Texas and never autox/track it.

Thanks for the help!

Generally, Michelin Sport cup 2 is considered a track oriented tire. The "connect" feature allows real time monitoring of tire temp which is useful on track. You would need additional gear to receive the data from the tire though. For daily duty in your area I'd suggest consider the Mich PS 4S. They have good grip in dry conditions and are also good on the infrequent cold and or wet days. I have them on a Cayman in Houston. hope that helps. Best of luck

Yep, from all the responses here I'm definitely staying away from the Sport Cup 2's!
