Default Are these PCCBs still good?

I have a 2010 Panamera Turbo with PCCBs and 108k miles on the clock.

I took it to a new dealer who said they measured the brake rotors, and it was less then a mm away from being outside of "Porsche spec"

$17k bill, basically undoable given the value of the car and never taking it on the track, but I asked him to find anything he could and report back.

I hate to sound like a brokie, but they also wanted $500 to replace the window switch. I did it myself for $20. Do these PCCBs really look like they need to be replaced soon?

Any insights appreciated. Thank you.

Still putting miles on them, no problems at 109k

that’s good to hear. This is one of those options that probably don’t make a lot of sense on a Panamera that likely isn’t being driven on a track or really aggressively. That said, not a bad option for a car purchased used, assuming they never have to be replaced. Thanks

1 mm is a lot to wear away from a carbon-ceramic composite rotor! The Porsche specifications for the steel brake rotors on my 2017 C2S allow for 1 mm of wear from each rub face of each rotor. New thickness for the front rotors is 32mm , and fully worn thickness is 30mm. I don't have any information on what is the new and fully worn thicknesses of the Porsche carbon-ceramic composite rotors, but my guess is that the difference in thickness is less than for steel brake rotors. Keep on enjoying them; overall they appeared to be in great surface condition in your photos. My background includes many years of working with carbon-ceramic and carbon-carbon brake discs for aircraft.
