Default 718 GT4 Track Wheel Setup

Hi. I am running a stock 718 GT4 solely for track use. Any recommendations on better wheel and tire set-ups for track use? Thank you

There are a few options in 19in but you need regular brakes. If you have PCCB I do believe there are options out there but not sure, you may be stuck running 20" wheels.

I'm running Forgelines 9" wide front 10.5" wide rear.
I have an order for Apex SM-10 wheels also as a second set of track wheels.

Our popular go to setup is Titan7 TS5s.

Let us know if you're interested.

Congrats on the GT4, they make for a killer track car. In regards to a dedicated wheel/tire setup, it comes down to if you have PCCBs or not, with 20" wheels being needed for the aforementioned PCCBs (if you want proper clearance). If you have steel brakes then that opens up the ability to run a 19" wheel/tire setup. As Inrev mentioned a 19x9" front and 19x10.5" rear is a very popular choice among GT4 owners. Our Recommended setup would look like this:

Front 19x9" ET50 // rear: 19x10.5" ET44

This is available in our SM-10 and VS-5RS fitments and has a wide selection of tire availability which you can see on our 718 GT4 Wheel and Tire Fitment Guide HERE.

Since this is a dedicated track car, our preferred tire sizes are 265/35-19 front, and either 295/35-19 or 305/30-19 rear. Many enthusiasts also run 285/35-19 in the rear for a more balanced setup (or to get a particular tire compound only offered in this size). It is important to note that to properly clear the front 265 you will need aftermarket camber plates with a minimum of -2.5º of camber. Depending on the tire compound you choose it is not uncommon to need to run -3º of camber up front. Not only will this provide you with the clearance needed, it will also dramatically improve handling and extend the life of your tires. If you are not interested in purchasing and installing aftermarket camber plates and you are willing to give up some front end grip, 255/35-19s are a direct fit with the factory suspension.

If your GT4 is equipped with PCCBs then a 20" setup would be necessary, This would look something like:

Front: 20x9" ET50 // Rear: 20x11" ET50

the most common tires sizes match the OE tire sizes of 245/35-20 front, 295/30-20 rear allowing you to run the OE Cup 2 or a Hoosier R7.

If you have any further questions or wish to discuss your car in particular feel free to shoot us a PM and we can help you out!
