Default Socket for torquing bbs wheels

Just purchased 18" Sport Classic II (BBS) wheels for my 95 993. Have just finished reading a post on the wheel/tire forum about the proper torque settings. Posted a similar question on the 993 board and received some of the same information plus a recommendation to get a 12 point 8mm socket to torque the screws. Where do I get a 12 point socket. Just came from Sears and they dont have one and the guy had never heard of one. Will a simple star (6 point) work. Mick

Are they 12 point internal bolts? Snap-On has these, which I think are what you need:

I found a set of 6-12mm 12 point internal, "triple square" or "cheesehead" sockets at the local Autozone. Went all over the place looking for them. Do NOT use 6 point (torx), they will probably just strip out.

Mac and Snap-On as iloveporsches suggests would be the two best choices out there. Probably more expensive, but much better quality.

If you don't want to order on-line, you can call Snap-On, who will give you the reps phone number in your area. Or if you just see one at a shop, pull on in and talk to him. BTDT
