Question Best all-weather tires for a 996TT

What is your advise on

1) The best tires for someone -like me - that drives 75% of his time in dry, 25% in wet conditions and does aprox. 6 track events per year ?
Potenza S02-A ? Pzero's ?

2) Your experience with the tires life will also be appreciated !!

THanks !!

I have had great performance and durability from Kumho Ecsta MX on my C4 for very similar usage to yours. I AutoX 10-12 times per year, hit the track about 8 days per year and drive the street with them. You also can't beat them for the price. Prior to these I ran SO2s and RE730s and I really like the MXs a lot more.

Of the four tires Porsche installs on the 996 Turbo, I would think the Pilot Sport Rib should be the one to give you the best for what you want. However, you cannot go wrong with either the S-02A or the PZero's. I have had both on my cars and they are great tires.

Thanks Rick and Viken.

I think that I will follow Viken's advise. I presently drive my TT with PZero's now and I enjoy the ride . Viken, will I find any benefit shifting to the Pilot or S-02A ? , any comment in the expected life of the three?

Probably nothing significant. But, the S-02A and Pilot Sport Rib are newer designs and might offer slightly better wet performance and a slightly quieter ride.
