Body shop recommandations in So.Cal.? New 911 Got rear ended 4 miles off dealer lot.
Yup, It really happened...
Got rear ended in my new 911 GTS at a red light with only 14 miles on the odometer.
When I picked up the car it had 10 miles on it.
I got to drive it for four miles out of the dealer lot and got rear ended buy a Lexus dealer employee who was on his way to deliver a brand new Lexus to a client!
Both cars had less than 15 miles on the odometers...
Anyway, I took my 911 to a So. Cal. body shop which was highly recommended to me.
Lexus dealer's insurance paid for everything.
However, I was not happy with the way it turned out.
The Agate Grey paint on the new rear bumper cover does not match the rest of the car and it just drove me crazy.
Today I got the car back from the body shop after I had them to re-do the job for the second time, and still the paint does not match.
This is extremely frustrating since I never actually got to enjoy my brand new 911 without having it messed up...
I am now looking for another body shop that can actually match the paint and do the job properly.
Does anyone in So. Cal. have any recommandations for a body shop that does A+++ work??
Thanks!
What my car looked like for the 20 minutes it was brand new..
After driving it for only 4 miles...
This is what the bumper looks like after being re-painted for the second time.
Color does not match. It is lighter than the rest of the car (and old bumper) which just drives me nuts!

that's a bummer...surely the porsche dealership you got it from could do the job for less of a headache to you (not necessarily to the offending party). i would certainly hope they could recreate the correct color...good luck. it WILL be ok, eventually.
