details on cigar/wine meet in So. Cal
So Cal Wine & Cigar Details
We are getting together this Saturday to go on a Temecula Wine & Cigar Run. We will meet at 11 AM in the Chevron right off of the 5 FWY @ Ortega HWY in South Orange County. This gives us a good 40 min - 1 hour of fun driving across Ortega Highway into Lake Elsinore and still lets us get to Lunch at a reasonable time. We will be eating at Ponte Winery in Temecula, where we will also smoke cigars and taste wine. After we've had our fill, we will go on to a couple more wineries, exploring the twisty back roads of the Temecula Valley.
Feel free to bring friends, significant others, wives, etc... Bring your cigars, your appetite, and at least $50 for spending money - ALSO BRING A COUPLE BOTTLES OF WATER - you will get dehydrated after all of the smoke and alcohol.
Directions:
From North Orange County - take the 5 fwy south to Ortega Hwy in Capistrano. Turn left and immediately turn into the Chevron station (you can't miss it).
From South Orange County - take the 5 fwy north to Ortega Hwy in Capistrano. Turn right and into the Chevron station.
For those of you who want to go the winery, but cannot meet us in Capistrano:
Ponte Winery is located at 35053 Rancho California Road, in Temecula. We are planning on being there around 12 noon give or take a few minutes. To get there, take I-15 to the Rancho California exit, and head east (follow signs to wine country). Ponte is a good 6 miles down on the right side. It is toward the end of the major wineries. If you see Wilson Creek Winery, went too far.
