Gosh I'm a little disappointed in the response to the Poll. It seems like the date preferences are almost equally split. Perhaps we should just pick a day and go. Whoever shows up, good. Whoever doesn't - well you missed out!
Gary, PeterT, and PeterC4 - you 3 & I sound like the most eager ones to do this, so perhaps each of you can tell me what day you can go for sure, or what day you can't go for sure.
For me, I am free Sat & Sun this weekend and Sat & Sun next weekend.

You guys need to just schedule a day that works for you. I want to attend but as I stated earlier, I've got soccer and a few other commitments that can't be changed...especially racing driving school this sunday

Well Ryan, Looks like we have our vote, What do you say we set it for this Saturday, announce it to the board and see who shows up.
Saturday say around 12:00pm? What do you guys say?
Ryan: still want to meet up and drive down together? If so, I'll e-mail you my cell phone number.

OK -
We're doing the Temecula Wine & Cigar run THIS SATURDAY 27 SEPTEMBER!!!! Ideally, we will meet at 11 AM in a parking lot TBD right off of the 5 FWY @ Ortega HWY in South Orange County. This gives us a good 40min - 1 hour of fun driving and still lets us get to Lunch at a reasonable time.
It appears that only 4-5 total cars may be coming, although I will try to recruit more. If everyone brings a friend, we will have enough people to have fun. Bring your cigars, your appetite, and at least $50 for spending money.
More details to come within 24 hours!!
Peter - Yes I'd still like to meet up with you for the drive down. Feel free to email me ryan@gaytanfoods.com

My rock climbing trip got cancelled...so I should be able to make it. Will I be totally bored if I'm not a drinker? What exactly are we doing now?

The plan (as far as I know) is to shoot through a fun canyon in our high HP Porsches!
After that, we will have lunch at a nice winery in Temecula. Following lunch we will be wine tasting and smoking a couple stogies. We will then drive to a few other wineries in temecula and do some more tasting.
It would certainly be more enjoyable to go on a wine & cigar tour if you drink wine and smoke cigars, but it certainly is not a requirement. I'm sure that we will have lots of fun no matter what you choose to do.

I just came back from Paris yesterday afternoon.
Did you guys do it already?
Do you want to do another one? Or is this too soon?
Do you have any pics to post?

Well guys, I just got back from my Formula One race car driving school... and all I can say is ... Yikes, gota do that at the next level. My own pace Formula pace car instructor in front of me, hold 6 car lengths as other race cars pass me doing up wards of 190mph. I averaged 146mph for 5 of my 6 laps driving a 600hp Formula One race car. What a rush. I am signing up for the next level which is 180mph.
How did this weekends drive turn out guys?
