Default Reputable shop to use for PPI near Bellevue, WA?

Looking to purchase a Porsche 911 GT3 in the NW, but I am from Florida. So I would need to fly out, and then take the car to a local dealership or shop to have the car PPI'ed, with a compression and leak-down test.

Should I use the local Porsche Dealer there, or do you locals know of a good independent shop that can tell me whether the car is a good buy or a "leave it alone" deal?

Dealership is just outside Bellevue, WA.

Thanks Gents!

Welcome to Rennlist. There are several good shops to choose from in the Bellevue/Redmond area, 1 or 2 in Seattle. Do a search under this section, they are listed several times. If you can't find it, I'll PM them to you. If any one shop can't help with the newer GT3's, I'm sure they can recommend a shop.

You shouldn't have to fly out for the PPI, the dealer or shop you select should be able to deliver it.

Good luck with your purchase.

Sure, if you wouldn't mind sending me the info that would be great.

It would probably be more helpful to post experiences and recommendations here in this thread though, for others to see.

I did a search on PPI and only found 2 threads fir the Seattle area. One is 4 years old and the other is almost 10 years old. I asked to try and get the most recent info.

Anyone who knows of a good shop or has any good experiences please post up!

1. Chris' German
2. Cantrell Motorsports (both of these are right down the street from where the GT3)
3. Gerber Motorsports

All of these shops are great and very qualified. Before I spent the $$ I would request local member just stop by and touch the car in person to see if it's what you want. Post up in the GT3 section and I would bet someone would help. I would do it but am out of town this week.

That's 3 of the most recommended. Another is Squires. I had posted sometime back most of the shops and phone numbers I believe. I'll see if I can find it.

Love Squire as well, he is my go to for air-cooled but he would be the first to recommend the other shops for later model water-cooled cars. Honestly if it's a stock GT3 I would call Chris first. Track modded/used I would call Cantrell. Chances are they know the car anyway. Gerber is great just the other shops are within a mile of the GT3 vs. 15+ miles away. PM me if you need more specifics.

Second vote for Chris' though I've not tried any of the others. Read my review on Yelp as to why.
B Fett - PM me if you'd like me to take a look at the car. I live in Bellevue.

Car is being held, I am flying out to take a look at it, have Cantrell go over it and then I will post up here with the results.

Thanks to everyone who offered help and advice, very nice group of guys on this forum!

If anyone Wants to meet up in the area Saturday night for dinner post here or message me, I'll be in town until Sunday morning.
