Friends of Steve McQueen Charity Car Show - 6/14/08 SoCal
Show to bring McQueen friends and fans together for charity.
Fans of the late, celebrated actor, racer, and consummate car and bike guy Steve McQueen will likely want to mark their calendars for Saturday, June 14th when The Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show kicks off in Chino Hills, California. The show will feature an eclectic display of cars and motorcycles as well as a few of each that were owned by the legend himself.
The venue is the Boy’s Republic, a boarding school for troubled and at-risk teens — the same school McQueen himself graduated from and long credited for changing his life for the better. All proceeds from the event (admission is $20) will charitably donated to the school.
As if cool cars and a worthy cause isn’t reason enough to attend, Motor Trend’s very own Matt Stone will be signing copies of his new book, “McQueen’s Machines,” at the show. Oh, and of course California’s famous In-N-Out Burger Truck will be on hand to feed the hungry attendees.
