Default Strictly German (Pasadena, CA) Horror Story

Heads up to everyone about this shop. Here's my Better Business Bureau complaint.

Summary Line: 2-3 hour repairs took them 6 weeks, was lied to the
entire time that car was always "almost done", "my guys are working on it",
or "tomorrow for sure"

Complaint Description: In mid November I spoke with "Tiger" who's a
mechanic about bringing my Porsche 928 in to have a fuel filter, a belt,
and a transmission cable changed, I supplied all the parts. It was a
Thursday, I expected the car on Friday, Tiger then promised it for Mon.
Monday came and the car was not done. I was told "It's almost done,
probably tomorrow"; I was given this explanation for the next 3 weeks,
nearing the 4th week, Tiger asked me some questions the cable that showed
they hadn't even touched the car yet.

Again I was told the same "just another day" lie that Tiger had been
telling me all along. At the end of the fourth week, I had finally lost
any shred of patience remaining, at this point Tiger told me that the
cable I gave them wouldn't work and they'd ordered a new one. I had given
them a used part because new ones were taking several weeks to be
delivered to Porsche distributors. Now even more needless delays were
coming.

Completely fed-up I asked to speak to Diran, in the background I heard
Tiger telling him I wanted to talk to him, Diran's response was "f***
him, if he doesn't like it, tell him to get his car" I finally got Diran
on the phone, he admitted Tiger had lied about the car the entire time,
they had been "busy" and had just started working on it. He promised to
not charge me any labor, and only for parts. I supplied another cable
and all the parts. After 6 weeks they "only wanted $250"! for labor,
when it was should be free. I had to pay to get my car. Half the time the car still will not shift into Reverse of Park without five or six attempts.

Owner has lied about offering free labor. I will take them to court, please stay away, far away from this place.

Don,

Much like yours, my avatar isn't representive, lol. My car is grand prix white. Was it on Wilshire Blvd? I seem to remember seeing a Porsche other than a 911 on there recently.

I do the same regarding my own work, but after 20 hours with no luck, and no interest in removing the torque tube myself I sent it to those fools.
