I CANNOT recommend FD Motorsports in Brentwood. I have called 6 times and left a message with no answer back over a span of 2 years. Spoken to Darin twice and he never called me back or emailed me with a quote.
Spoke to Darin briefly when I bought my Fister exhausts 1yr ago. He mentioned that he doesn't do general labor anymore as its hard to find help and its no longer worth it.
Probably not worth keeping it on the list unless he hops on here and says otherwise.
BTM Motorsports in Morgan Hill is a bit smaller and more focused on bigger projects. Brad, the owner of both shops, is great to deal with. I'm in between both shops and take my car to either one, depending on availability and type of service needed.
Looking for help with a Rennfax in the SF area, close to Concord and Porsche Walnut Creek. Ideally would have someone get eyes on the vehicle before I setup a PPI. I am open to a Porsche dealer or independent, so I would be fine with deferring to the locals here. Porsche Walnut Creek seems to get some mixed reviews, however. Anyone willing to help check out a very cool 957 Cayenne GTS? Open to some sort of payment, or at the very least some good karma
Lots of option in SF! Any personal recommendations from their experience with the SF shops? Something that is also reasonably priced? Will also take South Bay recommendations since I have to drive down twice a week.
Anyone have any suggestions for a PPI from the shops listed?
I called most of the South Bay and Panninsula ones and PPIs range from $450 to $750.
Some would check the paint with a gauge and some will just do visual.
Feel free to PM me if public suggestions are not allowed.
Hi got my PPI done at RealMeanGarage in Sunnyvale, Southbay. Excellent shop that is clean and have been taking my 911 Turbo there since I bought it 6 years ago. There are 2 Dans that work there and they are so friendly and honest. Not a chance of getting ripped off. That's just who they are. Porsche enthusiasts who love working on your car like it's theirs.
Anyways back to the PPI. It's expensive and extensive. I have slowly taken care of most of everything they found problematic with the car. Now it runs like a top. Just did my 60k and was so impressed with little things here and there they fixed without even mentioning it. They are busy usually a week or two out but you never know. Tell them Bharat sent you if you decide to use them. A lot of small shops love personal recommendations and word of mouth referrals. Good luck.

I just had some work done on my 991.1 at the Campbell location, and the service was great and cost reasonable
