Anyone attending Luftgekühlt 8 in San Pedro (California) this October? This will be my first one (couldn’t get my hands on Luftgekühlt 6 when the location was set at the Universal Studios backlot.) Curious as to how these are.
Pretty sketchy website with rather vague information as to what this is actually about, except that it features air cooled cars.
Not really sure why I'd want to go.
I've been to several and they were all epic, especially Luft VI at Universal. My 914 was displayed there along with a bunch of others as it was the model's 50th anniversary. If you have any interest in the earlier aircooled street and racecars and can get a ticket, go for it!

Question for you since you’ve displayed a car at past Luft:
as we both know tickets sell out immediately. When tickets first went on sale for Luft 8, I applied for car entry for the first time (been to previous Lufts as a walk-in) and the response email was I would have to wait for approval. Not wanting to lose my ability to attend the event, I purchased a pair of regular, 10 am tickets for wife and myself. Shortly after, I received confirmation of my pair of 10 AM tickets as well as confirmation of a pair of 8 AM early admission tickets that I never ordered. Three weeks later, my car was approved for entry along with an early admission ticket for myself. To date, only the pair of 8 am tickets have shown up on my credit card.
there is no phone number to call Luft management so I have sent repeated emails for clarification on the ticket situation and it’s very obvious communication is a one-way street with these people: they do not respond at all. Very confusing, because I have friends that will use my extra tickets but I do not know if I even own them or not. What was your experience when registering your car for the universal show? Thanks Eric
