I am looking for some reputable Porsche mechanics for regular service and repair, also for installations. Please let me know the shops’ names and what you have use them for. Thank you in advance.

Any particular part of the Bay Area?
Thanks.

Besides the obvious location in the bay area you might also want to but what it is you are wanting to get serviced. The recommendations for a 356 or other air-cooled might be different than for a late model Panamera or Cayenne.

I've used RMG and BRRacing. Both did great work. From outward appearances, RMG leans towards older cars (pre 2014) whereas BR towards newer cars. But both I am sure can do the work you require. RMG seems to be extremely busy these days.

I am in the south bay area - San Jose part. Looking to place my order for Fister Mufflers. When they arrive, would anyone on here recommend using these shops mentioned above or should I go with finding a muffler shop/exhaust install shop and having them do the install? It seems like it would be a pretty easy swap and not necessary for a Porsche specialist shop to do the work. But I could be wrong. Appreciate the insight.

Pacific Power Motorsports in Walnut Creek has been working on my '89 951 since I got it in 2007. Now I live in Gilroy but I still make the trek to him for anything major. Eric is a Great guy and very knowledgeable about our cars.

This is a great thread.
Has anyone used an independent for PDK service in the E. Bay? How about the dealerships in WC and Livermore, etc...? How much?
I have used Pacific Power Motorsports for CV replacements and was also pleased.
I have a 997.2 but I imagine this would apply to any PDK equipped P-car.
Cheers all...
