Thunderhill Track Day Invite February 15th
FYI, The Golden Gate Lotus Club is extending an invitation to attend their next track day at Thunderhill on February 15th. These are good events - very relaxed and a good value with lots of track time per dollar spent. Usually a good showing of various Porsches along with a mixed bag of Lotuses, Miatas, S2000's, BMW's, Ferraris, Vipers, Lambos, etc.:
GGLC 2004 Track Day #1 - SUNDAY, Feb 15, 2004 - Thunderhill Raceway
Entry Fee: $190 per driver for GGLC members and $215 for non-members.
The Golden Gate Lotus Club will be staging the GGLC Lotus Track Day #1 at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, California on Sunday, February 15, 2004.
Tech is "self tech" inspection where you, the driver, are solely responsible for the safety of your car.
Click on the button to the left and print, complete & mail-in the entry form.
You will need to arrive at the track before 8AM. There will be a 8:30AM mandatory driver's meeting followed by Track Sessions with two groups - A & B.
We will be running the same format as our past events with 2 groups. Group A will have open passing, and group B will have restricted passing. All drivers with more than 5 track days experience will be allowed to go out in both groups for no extra charge if they like. It is essential that everyone observes the passing rules of the group that is on-track. Details of the passing rules are available at www.gglotus.org YOU MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE RULES BEFORE ARRIVING AT THE TRACK.
Some instructors will be available to help inexperienced drivers. Although instruction will be offered, it's essentially on an informal basis and up to the individual drivers to request assistance. First timers will be required to drive the first session with an instructor in the passenger seat.
There will be an ambulance on-site, and gas is available at the track with a credit card.
GGLC Track Days are presented by the Golden Gate Lotus Club.
