The EezePlate is one of the products from One Step Beyond Inc. who specialize in No-drill Quick release exotic car license plate mounting solutions along with other low volume and custom products.

OSB was started in 1993 by Ivan Samila to tackle design challenges in the rehab equipment industry. His passion for cars had him quickly expanding to automotive solutions;

The first front license plate solution came about when Ivan’s 2006 Lotus Elise arrived without a front license plate mount. A no drill solution was developed for the Elise and Exige which was implemented by the Canadian Lotus dealers.

In 2012 McLaren Toronto approached One Step Beyond to create a no-drill license plate solution for the newly arriving MC12-4c that could be dealer supplied and installed. In 2014 the McLaren 650S was launched and for that the EezePlate evolved to incorporate our low-profile quick release system. In short order Lamborghini Toronto contacted us to develop a dealer supplied and installed range of EezePlates for their product line.

Our product line has grown to include over 50 unique variations for the following brands: Porsche, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, McLaren, BMW, Ferrari as well as custom one-off solutions for many other models.

In 2023 One Step Beyond Inc was asked to develop an EezePlate system for the new McLaren Artura. Due to this models front end structure and array of front facing sensors, a no drill chassis mounted solution would not work; therefore, a unique tow hook mount was developed. Shortly thereafter we developed our tow hook license plate mount for Porsche 911(991-992 ). This unique tow-hook cannot rotate, it has a keyed solution which means the spigot remains in the tow-hook while the front plate can be removed and put back on with no fiddling required.
