Interior - apart from a little wear on front seats - generally very good
Mechanical - very good condition - no leaks - recently inspection - full bill of health
Drive - drives like it should!

There’s nothing wrong with the car. Everything works, no leaks, nothing needs replacing. The car is a Carrera 2, not a GT3! A previous owner put the badge on. Don’t let this put you off - as the car has been very well cared for - paperwork to prove it.

10/12/11 (62650 miles) - Oil service
12/07/10 (60753 miles) - 60k service (oil service)
12/01/09 (57402 miles) - One year inspection
10/10/09 (56831 miles) - Oil service
10/17/06 (45914 miles) - Oil service and Breaks
04/27/06 (40261 miles) - Oil service
11/10/05 (29932 miles) - Oil service
05/14/05 (23559 miles) - 15k service (oil service)
09/29/04 (13494 miles) - Oil service
07/21/04 (10711 miles) - Aerokit supplied & fitted
03/10/04 (5074 miles) - Oil service

There’s an inch and a half thick of receipts for the above items and lots of small items attended too over the years. The smaller/more insignificant stuff I think shows previous owners with fairly meticulous standards/expectations - taking great care of the car.

There has been some bodywork repainting - the usual front bumper stone chips, as well as a front hood repaint (the previous owner used to park it next to his small aeroplane which leaked some oil onto the hood). But no accidents - only superficial stuff.

I’m a real porsche enthusiast. I’ve owned 3x 911’s - and since moving to the US from the UK had been looking for a well maintained (& documented) 996.2. I was excited to find this car - as you don’t see many 3.6’s with an Aerokit, in perfect condition, with IMS done and more importantly for me - with paperwork to show it has been consistently serviced and well-looked after. So i didn’t hesitate to buy it. However, a new job - with lots of daily driving forces sale.

Inspections welcomed.

I’ve tried to be as detailed and honest as I can - it means I don’t waste your time and vice versa!

Happy to try and answer any questions.

Very nice! Passenger headlight looks a little foggy compared to driver's side. Any truth to that or just the image? I've been looking for a Cayman but I'd consider another 996 (had an '02) to give my son a place to ride too. Sounds like it's been well maintained, but what would you expect is the next major maintenance it will need (aside from oil changes, filters, etc)? Thanks!

Thanks. I’ve never noticed any fogging so it must be the photo.

The next maintenance would be the rear brake pads and discs. No urgency. The water pump is original. It was checked back in September and isn’t leaking, so no need to replace. But might be something to consider in the further. As far as I’m aware there’s nothing needed.

Nice car with some desired options. Why put a GT3 badge on it? Seems odd.

I didn’t. It was a previous owner.
I know, it bugged me too. If I keep it i’ll Remove it and it’ll just take some time for any ‘ghosting’ to disappear.

Alex,
when did you buy it? How many prior owners?
