Default WTB 964 Project - do they even exist??

Year: 1991
Make: Porsche
Model: 0
Mileage (numbers only please): 1
Color: Silver
Price (no $ sign please): $1
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): SouthEast
Body Style: Coupe
Transmission Type: Manual - 4 speed
2 or 4 Wheel Drive?: 2 Wheel Drive
Engine Type: Fuel Injection

Is there any such thing as an inexpensive 964 project? I simply cant afford to start a "project" with a $50000+ starter car. I'd love to find a car in boxes and even in questionable condition/missing parts. I'm interested in tearing it down to the tub anyway so starting with something too nice/expensive isn't desirable.

They may not exist. That said, I have a 1990 964 that has a hot-rodded 3.8L motor. Bought it in Canada. The body was converted to 993 and I am not sure I have the stomach to create my Magnus Walker dream out of it. Sounds like you might. Email me if interested, I'd talke $45K for it. toolanpeter@gmail.com

I picked one up in 2012 for $10k. Complete car but a basket case. I have been looking for another since and I haven't been able to find anything reasonable. The closest I came so far has been a stripped roller without mechanicals or interior for $18k way to pricey IMO.

Good Luck

Yeah, $18k seems way out of line for a car that doesn't have any mechanicals. I'm looking for your 2012 $10k deal, lol. I realize the market has changed in the last 5 years but I'd hope that someone looking for a high-mileage, possibly some previous body damage, far-from-perfect "donor" car should be able to find something out there.
