I bought the car in February 2007 (85K miles) from another 964 friend who had bought it from the second owner in Georgia in late 2004, with the knowledge that the car was hit in the front, and was correctly repaired. A recent VIN Check did not show any accidents. I have no car records prior to my purchase. I have included a couple of pictures here, and will forward much more detailed pictures/ video upon request.
It is time for me to sell this car. Asking $68,000 or best reasonable offer. PM me here or send an email to me at awgoettel@yahoo.com if you want to own an honest RS America.
I have been a PCA DE Instructor Since 2006, and a HVRPCA Tech Inspector since 2008. I did about 30 track days with this car. No racing – no Hoosiers. I didn’t beat the car, because when the day was over, I usually drove it home.
The car is offered as stock except for the radio, H/R- Bilstein Suspension, and a Cup Front Strut Tower Brace. On 3/30/15 (109.2K) Hairy Dog Garage, (Oxford CT) Restored Stock Alignment, recharged the Air Conditioning and Nut and Bolted the car. Their assessment was “a solid car with a few minor issues:
To my knowledge, these defects are:
One of the heater blowers does not work right:
The paint shines well, but has normal scratches and paint nicks. There are also a couple of sap or clear-coat imperfections on the roof. I just washed and waxed it, never tried to buff the paint.
The Cup II wheels have surface corrosion on the rears and spots on the fronts. The tires are mismatched and shot.
The floors have 4 holes that I drilled to install sub straps. I touched up the paint, but need to put plugs in the 3/8” holes. The driver’s side also has smaller holes from some kind of a prior installation.
All off the rocker panels cover parts are included, but will need attention to return to stock
A couple of the gauges are beginning to deteriorate.
The deck lid is missing the (black) RSA Insignia.
The Engine is still bone dry, and pulls strong.
Clean and Dialed in Driver.
Extra parts are available:
17 " Black Boxter Wheels with Nitto Track tires 75%
A complete set of rebuilt oil lines, (3) Are Available.
Maintenance history Includes
In 2007 I installed a new clutch, and HR Red (Turbo) springs at 85 K Miles.
In 2009 I rebuilt the engine at 93.5K. Primarily due to Leak Down Tests with Exhaust Valve Wear. Outside of one broken oil control ring, the bottom end was in real good shape.
The rebuild was stock, except for upgraded ARP Rod Bolts
All parts were OEM new, as supplied by EBS Racing Supply. Included Chains and Rails.
The Heads were rebuilt by Verden Tool in NJ, with all new Exhaust Valves
Moro Automotive Pleasant Valley NY Inspected and Polished the Crankshaft, Re-bushed the Connecting Rod Upper ends, resized the bottom ends, Cleaned, and Inspected the Pistons, and Cylinders. All being within specifications, they honed the cylinders, installed the piston rings, installed the pistons into the cylinders, and helped me to install the rod bolts to ARP stretch specs.
In 2009 New Bilstien HD Struts were installed, and the car was set to Euro RS ride height, Aligned and Corner Balanced at Advanced Automotive in New Windsor NY.
In 2011 at 100.5K, The engine was rebuilt again after failure of the oil pump cast coupler When the oil lights came on, we shut it down and had it towed home. I found a piece of the coupler in the drained oil. There were no signs of debris in the pump, oil or oil filter. a new pump was included this rebuild. Again, all sets of old bearings are available for inspection.
The Parts again were sourced from EBS Racing, and Moro Automotive repeated the crankshaft, piston, cylinders, and rings as in 2009.
Geoffrey Ring, Jeff Berger, and Dan Jacobs from PCA, and, Cheech, and Garcon from Rennwork (Elmsford NY) provided technical evaluation and support through the rebuilds.
In 2013 at 103.4 K, the valves were adjusted. Before 2009 I used Mobil One 15-50 through the summer, and Shell Rotella T 15-40 for season ending oil change, and spring start up. Since then Brad Penn 20-50 has been the primary oil used. The oil was changed at least twice a year, or sooner with track usage.

The engine is still bone dry, and pulls strong.
The suspension is dialed in. The last manual steering rack is a real workout on a Track like Lime Rock, but feels more like the earlier lighter cars with instant feedback.
The 964 C2 is a natural bridge between the old and new 911s. It looks like the old cars, but has a coil over suspension, decent air conditioning, ABS, airbags, but is still fast enough to demand your attention at or near the limit.
I am currently running stock cat and primary mufflers with a secondary bypass. The air box is drilled out. The noise is fantastic, and so is the ride.
Its a bad *** black 911, drive accordingly. They only made 701.
I have a OEM 2 Plate LSD in great condition also available.
Make an offer. Its time!

Owner 2 Georgia 1995- to 2004 to 72,000 Miles
Owner 3 NY 2004 - 2007 to 85,932 Miles
Myself 2007 - 2016 to 112,750 Miles
Owner 3 told me owner 2 was Porsche Guy with an impressive, selection of Porsches. Owner 2, was my mentor who , had 3 964s at the time, and imported 4 Euro Cups in 2002.
Cool Story. No flippers, no dealers, Just one Porsche Guy to another.
When good stuff hit's its price point, it generally goes quick.
If you have requested pictures, and haven't gotten any, please send me an email link. I will also put some new pics on my home page. I plan to do a video today, will probably need some help with setting up a link.

Inside is solid and complete.
Seats have normal wear.
I just wiped the seats with a soapy cloth,
They should clean up nicely, I did not want to risk discoloration.
Thanks For Looking.
