1st owner purchased the car in Vancouver BC and brought it down to Seattle and the car has been here ever since. The 1st owner owned the car for 46 years prior to my ownership. He provided many records back to 1984. He drove the car regularly and maintained it well. The car is all original except on repaint in the original black. in 1970 black was a special order color so you don't see many black 911 targas around. It was optioned with a black leather interior. Also because the car was delivered in Canada, it came with the ROW headlights and not the uglier US spec ones. The car shows great patina and has the original matching engine and transmission confirmed by the Certificate of Authenticity.

The older repaint shows well and shines up very nicely. There aren't any door dings or rock chips. The original owner parked the car in the garage during his entire ownership.
I performed some maintenance on the car once I purchased it, including changing the engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, transmission oil, brake fluid, replacing alternator belt, and targa top repair.
The car runs excellent and starts up every time. It makes great power throughout the rev range and does not have any hesitation in acceleration or braking.
I was able to retain the original 1970 title certificate when I got the new title.
The car has 240771 miles and the engine and transmission were rebuilt at 165000 miles. The engine does leak a little as I find about 5 drips of oil in my garage every week.
The only thing that needs work is there is some rust in the front pan in front of the gas tank. There is no other areas of rust. I brought the car to a Porsche/BMW repair specialist and they quoted me $5000 for the repair. The good thing is that the repair will not require repainting the car so that the current patina will be maintained. Everything would be under the car. I have factored the cost of the repair into the asking price.
This car is for someone who would like to drive the targa and enjoy it. It is not a concours car but could possibly be entered in the preservation class because it is all original. It is in an amazing condition and with the rust repair, it will provide the new owner years of enjoyment.
