A little background: I’m helping an old friend sell this Porsche. He bought the car in May 2014 from his buddy who owned the car since 1999. I recently took it for 30 mile drive…steering, brakes, engine temperature and acceleration all in good working order. No noticeable check engine lights, no knocks, ticks, bangs or issues. Drives like these german muscle cars should…a comfortable, relaxing, powerful experience.
The exterior body is in great drivers condition. The body panels have the correct fitment and only the drivers side rear fender and door appeared to have been resprayed. The interior and carpeting are original and are in great condition for their age which is a testament of the car’s previous ownership care. The original linen colored leather seats are in great condition on the drivers and passengers seats. Rear seats are in excellent shape. The car comes with an aftermarket stereo and exhaust tips. (do not have the originals).
Mechanically, the car starts right up with no hiccups and is ready to go anywhere. Everything else has been working as it should and as far as I know - windows open swiftly, power door locks goes up/down without hesitation, sunroof open and closes, tight steering, lights etc… The 5.0L 32V (316hp) V8 is very strong and the 4 speed Automatic transmission shifts smoothly. This 928 has been personally maintained by Bob Lyman at Lyman’s Automotive in Los Angeles since 1999. Nexan CP641 tires all have over 70% tread left.
The car is in good mechanical condition and only has a few flaws, but I firmly believe in being up-front and transparent with prospective buyers. Standard rock chips on the front spoiler/bumper on 928s that have been driven. The dash has smaller spider cracks by the window. The automatic plastic shift boot is loose. The drivers side rear tail light has small cracks in it. The AC system works but will need to be serviced (not blowing cold). Some of the window/sunroof buttons have fading.
The odometer stopped working at 101,955. Actual mileage is unknown but our guess is that it’s been driven no more than 10k since it stopped working.
This 928 comes with 2 keys, an original owner’s manual, and spare tire. Clean California title in hand. Just passed CA smog last week!

Any history on why door and rear quarter were sprayed.. body damage, scratches, etc.? Also, does the owner have that paperwork for proof? Since he purchased from his buddy who had it since 99' I'm hoping he does, that would help me out as an interested party. Thanks, Bryan
