Fellow Porsche Enthusiasts,

I have put up my 1990 964 C2 Targa for sale. I had every intention of keeping this car for much longer but last winter I acquired a 996TT that I would like to focus on for a while. I would like to see if my 964 can go to a new enthusiast who will be able to enjoy it for many years to come.
I purchased the 964 in 2006 from a local owner in Central Ohio. I am the 4th Owner. First Owner was in Indiana until about 1998. Since then it has been in Central Ohio. When I bought the car the CarFax was clean and showed no accidents. In the last 9 years of my ownership, it has been well cared for. I purchased the car with 75,000 miles and now it has 93,000+ miles. I have taken it for 2 DEs at Mid Ohio and 1 at Nelson Ledges and it was a great learning experience about the capabilities of the 964.

The car runs good and handles great. The body has no rust and is straight. You can see my posts about my car on Rennlist to see the things I have done and discussions I have been involved in. This is by no means a show car but is a fun driver. It does have the typical 964 oil leaks. I have worked on the car myself as well as have taken to local independent Porsche shops for work that I could not handle. I have plenty of receipts from previous owners and from my years of ownership.

Major Work done by Previous Owners:
• Targa Top was reconditioned once by previous owner
• Hood and right side of car has been re-sprayed
• Flywheel replaced @ 60k miles
• Clutch Replaced @ 60k miles
• Cup 2 Replica 17” Wheels

Work Done Since 2006 when I took ownership:

• G Pipe – September 2006
• Clear Front Corner lights – December 2006
• Bilstein HD Struts – March 2007
• H & R Green Sport Springs – March 2007
• Oil Tank Gauge – March 2007
• New Rear Oil Hoses New – March 2007
• Infinity Speakers in Doors and Rear Shelf – April 2007
• Valve Adjustment, Rocker shaft seals, Brake Fluid Flush, Plugs – June 2007
• New Battery – June 2007
• New Euro RS Engine Mounts – January 2010
• Two Oil return tubes replaced – January 2010
• Powder coated engine Tin – February 2010
• Rennline Brace for Engine Carrier – February 2010
• Aero Mirrors – February 2010
• Air-conditioning converted to R134 – July 2014
• Plasti-dipped lower black parts of bumpers and rockers – August 2014
• CocoMats Floor mats – April 2015
• Distributer Rebuild – Nov 2015
• Drive Belts replaced – Nov 2015
• Fuel Filter – Nov 2015
• Transmission fluid flushed – Nov 2015
• Speedometer sent to NH Speedo to get repaired – Nov 2015
• New DME Relay – March 2016
• Rear Axles: LH side Boots replaced and RH side axle replaced – March 2016
• New Window Switch – April 2016
• Brand new Bridgestone Potenza Tires – April 2016

To Dos:

• Targa top looks good inside and out but could use a refurbish. (currently it bubbles up a bit when driving). Low on my priority since 90% of the time I drive with the top off.
• Fuse #1 keeps popping when the AC is turned on. I think the Right front HVAC fan bearing is getting bad so it’s causing the fuse to blow when you turn the AC on. I have a new HVAC fan but have not installed it yet since I drive with the top off most of the time.
• Rear Spring plate may need new bushings
• Seatbelt light indicator stays lit sometimes
• Car has slight hesitation when starting up after sitting a while but goes away while driving. Seems to only happen when it is cool temps outside.
• Recent Compression test results 1/4%, 2/20%, 3/15%, 4/22%, 5/20%, 6/26%. Leaking down out of Oil tank which points towards rings and guides according to my mechanic.

Extra things available with car
• 2 New Coils (not installed)
• Car Cover
• Porsche 911 Enthusiast’s Companion by Adrian Streather
• Fr Right side HVAC blower fan
• Certificate of Authenticity

I have the title in hand, so here are some Pics and I’ll be happy to answer any questions.
