9306800086 was completed in November of 1975 as a non-catalyst, California Equipment model, fitted with Sport Seats, Turbo Designation (black) and Pirelli tires - finished in Paint to Sample Elfenbein (Ivory - 132-9-1) over Brown Leather to Sample upholstery. We have a copy of the car's Pink Slip dated December 1979 from the said second owner who cared for this incredibly original 930 until late 2015.
This extraordinary find is without a doubt a very well-preserved example of the highly desired 3.0L 911 Turbo. Upon close inspection by recognized Porsche aficionados and ourselves, it appears this car retains a vast number of its untouched original components, displaying just over 30,000 original miles on a solid unmodified body. Both paint and cabin finishes remain incredibly clean and tidy. Paint depth readings (see photo) appear consistent across the vehicle, while only the front bonnet shows an obvious thickness of repaint. We are confident to say the upholstery is original - carpets, seats, dash, trim, rubbers and glass (with California emissions decal). A Sound Stream radio head unit was installed several years ago in replace of the factory installed Blaupunkt. All electrical and mechanical auxiliaries are in excellent working order including the clock and air conditioning - with an exception to the headlight washers and rear wiper switch.
The Porsche's undercarriage is very solid and honest as one would expect for a low mileage California car, motor and transmission are clean, dry and hold oil well. Performance is exceptionally strong through the powerband, without stumble or complaint. This very special 3.0 Liter California Turbo comes complete with date coded Spare, original Tool Roll, Jack, Compressor, Two Keys in Fob, Owner's Manual in sleeve and Porsche COA - an example worth close attention from enthusiasts and collectors alike. It is with good measure that these early 930 Turbos are becoming less and less available on the market as they represent the new era in Porsche engineering and design. We highly encourage consideration here.
Driving this particular 930 Turbo is without a doubt a true pleasure; it has the tight feel of a low mileage and unmodified Porsche. Overall great acceleration, tight steering and shifting and firm braking, this is truly a car that is ready to go!
