For sale is an ultra rare 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 3.0L CRD Mercedes turbo-diesel engine and Mercedes transmission in silver with gray interior and 78,996 miles. The engine makes 215 hp and 376 lb ft of torque. EPA rating is 20/24. It does NOT have the urea injection system the new diesels have so nothing special there to fill or maintain and it has NOTHING to do with the current Porsche/VW diesel scandel. This car has been incredibly well maintained and I have ALL records for maintenance since new. Mechanically it is perfect! Makes a great, cheap tow vehicle. Easily tows a trailex and 911 and has tons of power and torque. It's also a monster in the snow and bad weather and has real off road capabilities if that's your thing (aside from parking in the grass, I never did).

Recent major maintenance includes:
4 new rotors, new brake pads, and fluid flush 78,900 miles
Oil change, front and rear diff service, air filter 78,000 miles
New battery and alternator 73,000 miles
Full 60k service including drive and accessory Belts, fuel filter, diff, transfer case, full 60k service done at 59,000 miles
Tires were replaced around 50,000 miles.
etc...

The full scoop: I am the second owner and purchased it as a Certified Pre-owned car from a dealer in PA in Jan of 2010 when the car had 33,000 miles on it. The car has Quadra-Trac II Full time active 4WD, automatic with manual shift capability, leather interior and steering wheel, wood trim, bluetooth for phone hands free, Sirius Satellite radio, sunroof, power seats, radio/driver seat/mirror/pedal memory programmed to each key, heated seats and mirrors, power adjustable pedals, universal programmable garage door openers, rear limited slip differential, Boston Acoustics stereo with 6 disc CD/MP3/RDS, steering wheel mounted audio and cruise controls, alarm, remote keyless entry, ABS, ESP, front and side curtain airbags, tinted windows, rain sensitive wipers, split folding rear seat, 1 touch power up/down front windows, numerical tire pressure monitor display, and accessary roof rails among other things.

I also installed a factory trailer hitch, an electronic brake controller (Tekonsha prodigy), and rear adjustable spring air bags for greater stability when loaded down or trailering. I haven’t towed with it in about two years and I think there is a wire with bare insulation on the brake controller so the wiring harness has a short and needs to be checked if you plan to tow with it.

The mechanical condition of the car is excellent and I have all receipts since new. Almost all service was done at the Jeep dealer. The finish has a nice shine to it but there are expected cosmetic flaws (some scrapes and dings, in particular on the rear bumper which I tried to show in picture). Overall, it is a very good looking car. It has never been in an accident during my ownership and had a clean car fax when I bought it.

This car is quite rare and has really low mileage for a 2007. When I bought it, it was the only car for sale in a 500 mile radius. It is mechanically one of the best examples you’ll find and will likely need no major work for some time. Why buy from a shady used car dealer when you can buy a car with a known history owned and maintained by a car nut who respects his automobiles? I'm selling because I needed a larger car for the family including 3rd row seating.

Pictures below.

Sorry for the late reply as I just saw this. Tow capacity is 7400 lbs. More than enough for a trailex and 911!

Price is $14,900. It's a cool combination. Mercedes diesel reliability with Jeep ruggedness and 4WD. I get more comments about that car at the gas station than the GT cars!

It also happens to be the cheapest one with such low mileage, and arguably best maintained example in the country right now. All of the others are through "sketchy" used car dealerships. You never know what you're getting. Here, you get a well documented, enthusiast maintained vehicle.

I think you are referring more to the recent urea injected engines which caused more complication and issues. This is a common rail diesel with the higher injector pressures but without the urea injection. This engine is strong and is just getting broken in.

They are all OM642 power plant from 2007 on. Adblue system is just an additional part that goes.
