1997 Porsche Carrera 993 RS for Sale WP0AA2991VS320180
78,010 Miles
For sale is a 1997 Carrera Narrow Body 993 that was converted to a 993 RS by its first owner. I am the fourth owner and purchased the car in 09/2012. First owner 97-04 40K Miles Indiana, Second Owner 05-08 69K miles CT, Third Owner 08-12 77K PA. Just completed a complete repaint of the entire car with Eurofinish in Virginia Beach including replacement of everything such as gaskets, headlight washers, badge, edging around sunroof…everything.
Work done PRIOR to purchase in 2012 includes: Aero Install, 993 Euro Tail Lights, RS Euro Shifter, Carrera 4s 993 Turbo Twist Wheels (Rubber 235X40X18 Front and 295X30X18 Rear) RS Side Skirts Super Cup, 993 Turbo Brake Calipers Front and Rear, Weltmeister Sway Bar Front, TechArt Exhaust System, DAS Roll bar, Recaro Pole Position Seats incl sliders and mounts, 993 Perlon Carpet Kit, RS America Door Panels, Rear RS Vinyl Rear Qtr Panels, RS Steering Wheel, Bilstein PSS9 Shock and Struts, Prokit Lowering and sway bar rear, MA Shaw Rear RS Wing, Rear Euro Bumper Cover, Front RS Aero and Brake Ducts. Receipts in Binder for All Work mentioned total $19,924 from 1997 to 2007.
Work done AFTER purchase in 2012: Complete car repaint, New Front Bumper Cover, Used Rear Bumper Cover. Lloyd’s Floor Mats, New RS Side Skirts, New Sumitomo tires, powder coat wheels (look as good as painted) new rotors and new pads four corners, new 993 Shift ****, Fister Goldenrod Short Shift (awesome) Brand new windshield, new front headlights, no 3M Clear Bra, various Suncoast parts like cabin filter, center console tray, motor sound air filter cover. Receipts in Binder for All Work total $17,752.
This car was tracked by prior owner 2 and 3 in Drivers Ed only. You can see owner 3 had less than 10K miles and most of that was street and not track. Dan Jacobs did quite a bit of work on the car for owner number 2 in Connecticut. There had been some paint work and minor cosmetic damage.
For information on what was done during the repaint, go to
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...nting+1997+993 .
This was truly a labor of love by one of the best body and paint guys around.
Engine and mechanicals are all in excellent condition. I have not tracked the car since my purchase. A PPI is welcome at your expense. The 993 is an amazing Porsche and the last of the air cooled 911. While this is an excellent street car, it is definitely set up for track use. This would make a great car for a DE person looking to drive to the track and also drive on the street. If interested please contact owner 757-472-9567 Cell or email 997.alex at gmail.com. I can email the Cert of Authenticity, Window Sticker, copy of all receipts, detail of paint work. Thanks!

The ebay ad does have the history on the car which confirms what I have said except the car looks to have been sold in California originally and then the owner moved to Indiana.

Buyer from Dubai
From my ebay ad I have a contact from someone in Dubai. It is not the typical email from someone on an oil rig who only uses PayPal! At any rate, has anyone had experience dealing with an overseas purchaser? I have heard that the 993s are selling well overseas.
He has not made an offer but he certainly is interested.

Good points all
Agree that I would like to see this go to a US buyer who can enjoy and appreciate what has been done. At least I live in a port city where shipping like this can be done. I also know some stevedore companies who could advise if necessary. But it would be a lot of work!

Sold a corvette to a guy in the netherlands once through ebay. He sent the funds via paypal. Once the money was in my account, he sent a car carrier to a local gas station where I delivered the car and shipped overseas.
Really an easy transaction. As long as the money is in your account before you ship, there really isn't much risk to the seller. Just confirm funds have cleared and are in your account before releasing the vehicle.
