For Sale: 2001 Porsche Boxster S, highy modified for show and track, 80K miles. This car is very unique in that it is perfectly prepped for both club shows and track day use. I am a life-long multi-Porsche & high-end german car owner, and a PCA national club driving instructor (I track my 996 GT3). I take great care of any car I own. This car has been maintained to the hilt, I have ALL books & records, has been garaged its entire life, and never driven as a daily driver.
Factory Options:
Seal Grey metalic exterior paint
Black interior with leather seats, & black soft top
3.2 liter 250 HP engine
6 speed manual
Porsche Stabilty Managment/PSM (can be switched off)
Litronic headlights w/washers
Cruise control
trip computer
Factory am/FM stereo with in dash CD + remote 6 disc changer
Heated seats (driver side in-op, I never bothered to fix it, it may be easy)
Full factory OEM top-down Windblock kit
Recent work from previous owners:
All receipts from new
Major 60K service performed at 56K miles = new rear main seals, half shafts, neW clutch, water pump, brakes, etc, over $5k spent
Car got a new transmission under warranty at 30K miles
New top at 45K (it is in very good condition, barely put up)
Good Michelin PS2's (fronts have some life left, rears are near new)
window tint (aftermarket, professionally done)
high quality full car cover incl
Upgrades after my purchase:
Interior:
FVD German airbag sport steering wheel - smaller and thicker, cost = $800 (OEM wheel is perfect and incl), nice Porsche enamel wheel center badge
B&M short shifter, cost = $250 (amazingly improved shifter feel, short throws and rifle bolt precision)
Replaced interior CD slots holder with full cubby storage
Chassis/performance:
Bilstien PSS9 fully adjustable coilover suspesnsion, cost = $3,000 incl labor
H&R Rear and Gt3 Front adjustable sway bars, cost = $800 incl labor
Sport alignment (lowered and with a bit more camber - GREAT stance!), cost = $150
Hawk HPS sport brake pads all around, cost = $400
Racing hi-temp brake fluid
Porsche GT3 front brake scoops (nice additional brake cooling for "sporting" use), cost $120/pr
Stainless steel brake lines, cost = $120
* X51 baffeled oil pan installed (well known for BIG protection against hard cornering/potential oil starvation), cost = $1,000 incl labor
Custom sport catback exhaust (sounds great, slight drone at 3000 rpm's but worth it for the higher RPM sound!), cost = $800 (stock exhaust also incl)
Cosmetic mods - Spyder replica theme, incl:
Wheels - 18" Veloce RS three-piece replicas, black centers, with deep polished lips (rare and hard to get, custom ordered from europe, cost $1,800, still perfect condt)
OEM Seal Grey Speedster humps (perfect conditon, come with factory trunk storage bags - these REALLY make the car), cost = $800
"Porsche" script classic black spider style side stripes (easy to remove if desired), cost = $150
Upgraded LED red/silver tail lights (no more ugly orange!), cost = $200
Car has been garaged, babied, always deatiled in/out, clay bar, wax, etc...
Runs and drives much better than new.
Always Mobile 1 synth, always changed frequently
80K Miles
Ice cold A/C
excl condt. a blast to drive, MUCH more precise and engaging than stock
NADA retail book (average/stock) = $16,000
Total of mods = over $9,000
Two prices are available:
1. = As equiped for $19950
2. = Or $16500, without the following: no Veloce wheels (factory 18" silver Turbo's instead), no FVD steering wheel (oem only instead), no speedster humps (they go on and off in 5 mins).
For a serious buyer, we can negotiate about these choices/options.
