Is that from first-hand knowledge?

Nope, so it wasn’t at an auto recycler facility?

They corrected the Carfax, apparently it was owned by the owner of the salvage yard as his personal car but registered to the business. Somebody got a great deal

Hope not, story goes that the last owner was the owner of the auto recyler and had it titled through his business to save the sales tax on it while he owned it and that where the salvage came from. It's on consignment at a very reputable dealer in WI who says it all checks out. That aspect of the carfax has been removed as of last Friday and I have a tentnative deal with them. Just trying to dot every i and cross every T. I'm putting faith in the selling dealer and so far have no reason not to trust them.

I'm the buyer, trying to get all documentation I can. I think I got a very reasonable price but I'm coming from the dark side of BMW land. The last P car I had was a 86 widebody (M491 factory option) and man I wish I still had that car. I sold it in the 40's 25 years ago.
