I was told I would need to sign a document that would forbid me to export the car.

As for desirability, my guess is there is plenty of demand for the car. It’s not everyday that Porsche makes a car as fast and as visceral as the GT2RS. As for me, I’ve always been a fan of the Turbo. Amazing cars.

You generally have to sign a non export agreement on any new car, not just Porsche. Mfg don’t want grey market cars floating around especially since vehicles are much cheaper in the US vs ROW.

How awesome would it be if suddenly Porsche went: "SURPRISE!!! We quadrupled capacity and gonna make 10,000 of them RSs." and all the ****ing scalpers and markup douches were left with their pants down.

"Doubtful. The GT2 RS will not have the demand like the GT3 RS and 911R. There is far less love for the GT2 due to the turbos for whatever reason"

Are you kidding every Porsche collector/car guy wants one . Its the fastest street car ever around the Ring,700hp and it drives amazing . Just look at the last GT2-rs and what they bring now

This cars the real deal

I think any car that does what it does will ALWAYS have some desirability. That being said if you look at any GT2RS of any era, the cars are always strong on value.

The 997GT2RS was limited to 500 cars. You are telling me the value of a 991GT2RS is the same as the 997 version? No way as they'll build 5-6x as many 991 versions.

Interesting to learn the high numbers of 991 GT2RS to be produced.
I do not where the numbers were released and the source of the data.
This information does not fit with availability to dealerships in any PCNA region.

Limited production, with 2018 already spoken for will produce a price tag way higher than $300k

? Porsche will build 2500-3000 GT2RS? Hmm thats a lot of cars. If you go to the factory and see that all the cars (Caymans, Boxsters, Carrrera, Targa, Cabriolet, GTS, Turbo,Turbo S, GT3) on the same production line, it would be hard to believe they can produce that number along with all the other models concurrently. However Porsche did say it is not a limited car and they would meet demand.

Would assume that most specs will be around 330 - 350K with Wiessach option. So 150-170k premium, makes it a 500K car?

let me guess, the people that think it wont be worth a lot don't have an allocation. People that think its worth a lot have an allocation.

I have an allocation. I am paying MSRP. And guess what. I could care less about the value. I care about driving that beast, hearing it and bringing out so other can see it. Funny, all of the internet trolls say the 918 guys are not deserving etc.. but everything I read is the non 918 people talking about value etc..

truth is, no one knows on the value. so many things go into it. What is known is how awesome this car will be to drive, look at and hear......

Then there are complete idiots/nutters/degenerates like me who have a call but don't care what the price is or will be because they'll drive/track every GT car they own (including my 4.0).

I think this is the great unknown as to this date no one knows how many Porsche are selling worldwide. Not sure anyone can comment with any certainty yet on how it will compare pricewise to the '11 2RS.

I'll bet you anyone my 4.0 that they build more than 500. Heck, I'll bet that they build more than 1,000.
