Made In The USA Trailer Tire
Goodyear is ramping up production on a new and improved trailer specific tire called the Endurance ST. The tires will be made in the U.S. and carry a speed rating of "N" or 87 mph. Not much info out about sizes other than 16 and 17" diameters will be the first produced.
I don't know if this tire will be marketed along side the now made in the U.S. Marathons, or is intended as a replacement.
I also got a good tip from a friend in the industry about another trailer tire I wasn't aware of called the Michelin XPS Rib. It's listed as an "LT" but the manufacturers states it's an "all position" tire which means Michelin certifies it for use as a trailer tire. It comes in load
range "E", is speed rated to 75 and is re-treadable.
Both sound like a step in the right direction.
