ALCOM enclosed car haulers are quite confusing, and comes in several names for aluminum builds (EZ Hauler, Mission, Stealth). They all appear to be the same. I have an ATC Quest enclosed trailer and would rank it equal to Bravo. I would rank InTech and Sundowner higher though. But, I hardly ever see any of these Alcom trailers in the paddock - how come considering they are less expensive? Anyone had bad experience with them? At face value, the only thing that really concerns me is the 17" floor deck height compared to normal 20" on others. Seems like much easier to drag on stuff.

I believe all are made in Maine, so the freight to TX would be a killer. They are popular in the Northeast. There are some quality differences between them. I think it goes EZ Hauler, Stealth, Mission, but I could be wrong as it's been a bit since I looked at them. They are decent, but not near an ATC. They are built differently and have a lower fit/finish.
Alcom actually has several manufacturing plants around the country, even one in Waco, TX. Thus the reason for getting my attention. I know lots of products have name brand markups, but far less expensive usually means red flag to me. That low ride height is really problematic pulling behind a 41' Renegade and the pendulum effect on the trailer.
I have an enclosed aluminum 16x7 (I forgot the exact size sorry) bought new, but I use it as storage. One of the panel on the side kind of popped from sitting. I live in CA and this unit was built in montana

Not sure how I missed, this. Have a stealth. Bought it new about a year and a half ago. Don't know enough to spot build quality, but seems like a quality trailer and does what I need. I had 72" ramps installed from Pit Products. I had the wood deck covered in diamond plate rubber flooring. Installed a power jack. I had a winch mounted in a box in the floor and I am still trying to figure out how to address A/C. 20' is all I want since i want the flexibility to tow it with an SUV. I have not had any issue with the lower deck and need the lower deck and dovetail for the cup car. My E36 M3 had no issue with the short original ramp.
I have an EZ Hauler and it has done the job fine with no issues for several years. It is definitely not as high quality of construction and fit and finish as an Intech or ATC, but also mine was literally 1/4 the price.
@awrryan How do you secure extra wheels and tires when transporting to/from the track? What are the options you chose and what was the final ballpark pricing?
@terryb Price was $16.5k with everything except for the items I mentioned and A-frame box with battery, solar panel to power winch and the wiring. Everything else you see in the pics was incldued. Initially, I left an extra set of wheels and tires on the floor in front of the car or in the trunk of my SUV. Don't want wall mount since I need and want some flexibility depending on what I'm towing so I bought this which has two wheel brakes and which will stay on the ground, but secured to a wall with brackets on the floor in front of the car next to my nitrogent tank for the air jacks:
@awrryan That looks like a flexible solution. At 20', how much room is left in front of your car? Seems like it would be pretty tight. Any pics of the interior with the car loaded?

@terryb I only have pics of the E36 M3 inside the trailer; however, with the cup car, I have about 3.5 or 4 feet of space in front of the car if i'm not mistaken to the front of the trailer. With the E36 M3 loaded, i have a bit over 4 feet. The M3 sits a bit further back than the cup car when loaded. Here are pics of the m3 inside the trailer before the floors were done and the ramps on the rear door installed.

@awrryan where did you source that tire dolly - thx!
I have had a Thule (Sno Pro, AKA ALCON, AKA etc) 28 goose since 2008. Fit and finish are ok and it is still in service. 30-35 events per year. Still ticking. 28 goose has 20 on the floor and I have room for my car and a left and right tire rack on the floor in front. Big 12 volt fridge between them. And of course the attic where you store stuff and never know WTF is up there beyond what you can arm reach.
