200-300 ah LIFEPO4 (Lithium) Battery for Winch
Is anyone using one? They are a lot lighter, not that much more money, and seem like they would work well. People use them for trolling motors and RV uses, so I think it would be ok with the winch. Maybe something like https://enjoybot.com/products/enjoyb...42965713649879

I'm not using it for a winch, but i have a pair of 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries in the race trailer powering outlets and lights thru an inverter. I can run most of the day from them. There is a huge variation in battery quality, and worse, the batteries you see reviewed can change construction and you have no idea.
Channels like https://www.youtube.com/@WillProwse/videos and https://www.youtube.com/@LithiumSolar were good to understand what's out there.
The biggest thing to know is that LiFePO4 don't like to be charged under 32F. Many batteries claim to have low temp charging shutoff, but don't.

Need to look at DCS style LifeP04 type batteries, but I think price point alone for a one use application (trailer winch) will not be price competitive to LA/AGM Deep Cycle. Still see them being used on golf carts / man lifts, etc. if the trailer also has rig, AC. lights, TV, etc., then that may justify the LifePo4 investment and handle occasional winch duties.
Note the discussion on max AMP load from winch under typical load and BMS cut off as safety.
So it appears it will work with the proper install (BMS, charging, etc.). At least the heat concern in a trailer isn't on par with under the hood/bonnet.
One costly battery that claims winching (4x4): https://www.rhinoadventuregear.com/p...ifepo4-battery
And keeping it fully charge (solar?) will be key also.
