I tow a 24' featherlite with a 475hp 2010 raptor. With the soft long travel suspension, you will need a weight distribution hitch for an enclosed trailer. It will squat it like crazy otherwise.

Mine doesn't begin to compare to some of the trailers that regularly appear in this forum, but it fits with the track rat (high smiles per dollar) nature of my E36. It's a basic 20 foot enclosed V-nose, purchased before the holidays. Like the track rat, it was purchased cheap, and then upgraded. To-date I've stripped the walls, insulated walls and ceiling, installed luan on the ceiling, painted, wired in 30 Amp Electrical, LED lights, epoxy flooring, etc. I'm into it for about $4,500, so can't really complain. Tow pig is an '07 Tundra.

Yup. I know a lot of people who tow enclosed trailers with their super crew cab Raptors. With the super cab, you are sort of restricted to an open trailer. I plan on using my trailer in the winter as car storage as well so I don't mind paying more for a higher quality aluminum trailer that will last a long time.

Volvo XC90 T8 Plugin Hybrid and Trailex 8045. 400HP/6000lbs Volvo tows better than my Silverado 1500 did and is a great daily driver when not towing (Plug-in hybrid 45-95mpg usually when not towing...but 15mpg towing). Self-leveling air suspension is awesome for trailering.

Yes - GM certainly is far from perfect. Lets compare notes when we get to 150k on the powertrains, and you're replacing turbos, intercoolers, hoses, timing chain, tensioners, etc.
I'll be replacing my spark plugs on the 6.2. Hard to beat an LS motor for long term reliability...

Trailer Evolution . . .11 Years . . .
We started with a steel open trailer and Ram 1500 w/air bags . . . OK but hard on the truck on hills . . .
Then moved up to enclosed steel Haulmark 24' and 2002 GMC 2500 HD . . . much better because of the diesel torque . . .
Recently sold the Haulmark and bought (at a very good price) an aluminum 2007 ATC enclosed 24' and still use the GMC 2500 HD. . . probably the last trailer we will buy . . .
