anyone use a 18x7.5 trailer
I'm going to build a new kart trailer, but I'm tempted to add some "car" features for the one time a year I might want to haul it with a SUV. I have bigger trailers, but I'd rather have the option of using it if needed for say, a 200 mile service run to the dealer instead of loading up a 40' GN.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have an 8x16 and use it all the time for my SPB. Width of the trailer (between wheel wells) is only 83", so depending on how you are measuring 7.5" you may be fine. Even with the short bed, I can still haul three sets of wheels, two trailer spares, and a toolbox full of stuff.

For what it's worth - we ran a Formula Ford out of a 16x7.5 for some time. I recognize a Formula Ford and a fendered car are not the same, but the dimensions might surprise you - the FF has a 102" wheelbase and is 72" wide at the tires. If the need is only occassionally to haul a car for convenience then you only have three items to deal with:
1) Will the car physically fit? Short of a Viper or a Corvette - probably fine on width.
2) How to get the car in? A winch will be a must as there is no way you are going to be able to open a door.
3) How to tie the car down? Depending on the tie downs, if they are like my BMW and are between front and rear wheels near the doors, going to be very tough. If you have a GT class race car that has welded loops on the front and back, would be no problem at all.
Hope that helps,
Mark
