981 Boxster GTS (2015) For Sale

1 Attachment(s)
Putting a feeler out for my incredible 2015 (981) Boxster GTS in Racing Yellow. I bought this CPO in October of 2021 (expired in March of this year) and the car has been nothing short of spectacular.

For those wondering, I’m looking to get into a coupe. Still in early phases, but maybe a 993 of some sort, a 997 Turbo/Turbo S or a 992 GTS/S with aero. My wife loves the convertible, until she doesn’t so we end up not driving it enough. Not interested in trades at this time.

I’ve been a car guy my whole life and also currently own a 2018 Macan GTS and a 2020 Mercedes GLC63 AMG. All this to say - I love my cars and treat them like royalty. They’re driven, but they’re cared for.

This 981 is completely stock - the only additions are clear side-markers and sport steering wheel with paddle shifters (yes this helps take the car to a 10). Everything works perfectly. Sound is phenomenal. I’ve attached the window sticker showing all options as well as the service screenshot showing the sport steering wheel install.

Car is always brought to temp (158+ oil temp) before going above 3k RPMs (only takes about 5 minutes) and it has never been tracked by myself OR previous owners.

I’m very big into detailing as a hobby, and this car has been detailed head to toe. It is currently sporting a double coat of AMMO Reflex Pro on all painted surfaces and CarPro DLUX on the wheels. It’s a showstopper at any car show and always ends up featured and drawing crowds thanks to its color and condition.

I have all detailed maintenance records going back to 2019 from the previous dealers and these are available to interested buyers. There is also carfax reports available on this car showing all history prior to this, it’s just not detailed. I’ve done all maintenance myself since taking ownership and have photos, receipts, etc. for all work.

I also had an oil report from Blackstone done with this springs oil change (done on April 3rd @ 33,920 miles) which are attached and can be sent to any interested buyers. The results, as expected, were great.

The car is a 10/10 mechanically and a 9.5/10 cosmetically. That is, it’s been driven 34.5K miles - there are some expected paint chips, none noticeable more than 2 ft from the car. There is a gouge in the passenger side doorwell from before my ownership. There are some other minor blemishes around which the average person won’t notice, but I do and I’m happy to review them with interested parties. This car has NOT had the emissions recall completed, and I highly recommend to any future owners to not have this done. The sound of this car is truly a feat of engineering. Doing anything that could mess with that is a no-no to me.

Other than this, I still have to replace the rotors and brakes - both of which I already have and just need to find the time. They still work and have life in them, but I stay ahead of this stuff. If the new buyer would like I can install and/or pay a shop to do so. Otherwise they will come with the car. Attached are photos and I can provide receipts of the parts. They are Sebro slotted rotors and Pagid pads. I’ve also got some stocked up filters and random items which will come with the car.

The only other thing of note is that the car will need new tires. I don’t drive the car if it’s under 40 degrees outside or raining, so that’s why I’m still riding the current ones - but mainly it’s because I’m waiting for the Michelin PSS5s. I’m in contact with my local shops, but they’re not still available in Porsche spec for the sizes I need. With this in mind I can either knock the price of new tires off and/or getting the preferred tire installed for the new owner.

I’m happy to provide any requested photos, videos, etc. to interested parties.

Asking $69,981. This car does have a lien on it which will need paid off. Hoping this car goes to someone who will truly love the sound and color - it’s what makes this 981 GTS special.

Nice car! these held their values very well! way better than the S which ironically is a slightly cheaper MSRP for loaded ones, wonderful car! I wish I had this budget to play with.

Gorgeous car, GLWS!

Bad call. The recall gives you access to all the buttons you paid for, and has no drawbacks for 99.9% of drivers.

Appreciate the kind words and thanks for your thoughts on the voluntary recall! I’m going to link the whole thread from the 981 forum for those interested to review. This should help the next owner make their own decision on the recall!

For me, I drive in manual with the sport steering wheel except for the first few minutes when I’m bringing the car to temp, but I’ve also never noticed Sport + as unusable in its standard tune.

True, it makes no difference if you're driving in manual. But the recall makes Sport+ usable in auto mode, which can be a lot of fun as well.

Key point is that the recall does not hurt anything. It was a legitimate fear after the Cayenne dieselgate debacle, but the fear is groundless this time. This is the way it should have come from the factory, no question about it.

Anyway, it's OT for your thread. That is a heck of a nice build, I'm amazed it isn't already sold.

Drop dead gorgeous car! GLWS!
FYI, the VIN you have typed in is incorrect. I tried to search it on VIN Analytics and it kicked it out. CORRECT last three digits are 465 (not 565 as you have listed.)
