2017 Porsche Panamera 4S ($157k MSRP), Selling 50% Off. CPO until 8/28/2023

Fully loaded 2017 Panamera 4S with a MSRP of $157k! Selling for 50% OFF = $78,500. The car is like-new, garage kept, with no issues and full documentation of all maintenance. It has new tires, full body wrap, and just had a full inspection from Jack Daniels Porsche. I'm the 2nd owner and have owned the car since 1k miles. Q&A and details below.

Why are you selling?
I haven't used the car due to COVID (office closed). We use my wife's car now instead.

Is the price flexible?
I have a trade-in offer of $70k from a dealership. Even though I don't need to purchase a new car right now, considering the tax savings going that route, it wouldn't make sense for me to sell it much lower then the asking price. Update: I lowered the price to $75k but am firm on this price.

Does it come with a warranty?
The original warranty is good through 8/2021 and CPO unlimited warranty through 8/28/2023.

Are you the original owner?
No, I purchased the car with 1k miles on it from Manhattan Motorcars on 8/2018 (~2 years ago). I paid $115k for the car. The car has had no issues and has been one of my favorite cars to drive.

What's the condition of the car?
The car is like-new, always garage kept, not used in the winters. All of the miles were for my daily highway commute to work. The passenger and rear seats were almost never used.

Has all the maintenance been done?
Yes, I just did the 20k mile maintenance and had all of the recalls done. I have documentation of everything.

How are the tires, brakes, etc..?
I had all-weather tires installed 11mo ago (less then 4,000 miles on them). I had Jack Daniels Porsche do a full inspection November 24th, 2020 - brakes, tires, etc.. are all good. Full inspection report further down.

What else is included?
The car has a full body wrap, performed 2 years ago at a cost of $5,000. I have all-weather matts I can include for an exta $200. The original matts come as standard and have never been used (all-new condition).

Has the car ever been tracked? Has launch control ever been used?
The car has never been tracked, raced, etc.. Launch control has never been used (not safe to even attempt on public roads around where I live).

Do you have the title?
Yes, I have the title in hand.

What kind of body wrap is it?
It was done by Manhattan Motorcars (who deal with and sell exotic cars); I believe it's XPEL but not 100% sure. I was told it's typically good for 5-10 years.

Has the car had any accidents?
I haven't had any accidents in my ownership, but when I purchased it, the dealership did say they purchased it back from the previous owner after the dealership themselves took the car out during the 1k service and had a fender bender on the passenger door. They said it was repaired at the dealership (Manhattan Motorcars - they deal with exotics) and they said it wasn't anything big otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to CPO it after. I have had 0 issues with the car in my 2.5 years of ownership and have not seen or noticed any damage/issues. I have also never seen a carfax, so not sure if it appears there or not.

Can I see the inspection report?
Yes, the inspection was done 11/24/2020:

Yes, definitely - I hated the way the 1st gen ones looked. Thank you!

Added Q&A answer from a PM I got about how many times launch control has been used (answer: never used LC).

Added some more Q&A items. Had some offers on it, but nothing at asking price yet. Lowering the price to $75k.

Man. This is so sweet. I'm looking at 2020 Macan / Cayenne right now but THIS is what I want! Convincing the wife that a four-seater is okay...that's going to be challenging! Used Panameras are such a great deal.

I missed my 06 Cayenne Turbo S and this caught my attention I am ready to make a move but need to unload either one of these lmk if you have room (2007 black Lexus LS 460 61k miles or a 2017 Lexus ES 350 57k full warranty and CPO) both in excellent running condition and clean titles. I need an AWD as a second daily as an alternate with my daily mule an 03 325 xi. I can drive to you from Cherry Hill, NJ. Thanks

Test drive both - they are completely different. I briefly had a Macan that I didn't like at all, and a friend has a Cayenne I've driven a few times. The Panamera is much closer to the sports car experience.

Ahh, you're super close! I don't need another car though unfortunately - maybe check with the typical car-buying places to see what they offer you on your car? Car inventory in general is low now, so the trade-in/buy prices are higher then what they were a few months ago. Let me know asap though since I got a decent offer from webuyexotics.com yesterday and have a few other people who messaged me about the car. Oh, and you're welcome to come take a look at the car in person if you want.

For those remote - I can do a walk-around video if needed, but generally speaking it looks exactly like the pictures and just came back from a dealership service, inspection & car wash.

Just thinking out-loud, since you're local - I can technically do the deal through the local dealership (what's local to you - Princeton Porsche?), that way I get the trade-in tax savings that I can pass on to you and you get extra assurance of buying it from a dealership. There are obviously a lot of moving components of doing that, but just throwing it out there. And in terms of AWD daily driver, I put all-weather tires on the car, so it's a perfect all-season DD now.

Thank you! Yes, I priced it for a quick sale - rather not keep it sitting around and keep having to pay insurance on it.

@amelen: what does it mean - to purchase through the dealership? wouldn't the dealership mark it up? (sorry if just not knowledgable about these things)

I think I can get a local dealership to facilitate the transaction. Even if they add a little bit to cover the hassle of doing it, they would give me a tax benefit towards a future purchase I think. Of course this is all theoretical, but I did it once before when purchasing a new car from the dealership (here I wouldn't be purchasing anything immediate, so maybe trickier). Here's how the math works though:

I want to sell it for $75,000. If I sell it for $75,000 private party, I get $75,000. To a dealership, I can sell it for $70,000 and collect a 7% tax credit towards the purchase of a new car from them, which also is close to $75,000.

The middle ground: I sell it to a private-party buyer for $73,000 through the dealership. Even if the dealership charges me $1,000 for the process, I would get $2k more then I would just trading to them. The private party buyer saves $2,000 and gets the comfort/benefit of buying it from a Porsche dealership.

Edit: Just writing this out, it sounds like a lot of work to save 2 grand per-party, but just throwing it out there as a possible option for those who are local.

this seems to be a great deal. Incredibly highly optioned (sport design package and rear wheel steering!) and incredible color combo. If it was a turismo, I would've bought it. Best on your sale!
