Default One of my keys sometimes works..a little

One of my keys is acting weird.
The LED that should flash when a button is pushed stopped entirely. The other functions work occasionally….
I installed a new (tested) battery with the same results.
this is my back up key….hardly used.
Not physically damaged…just defective!
The car is a 2021 with the Porsche purchased warranty good until 2030.
Shouldn’t this be covered under Porsche’s warranty?

I have had the same problem but I didn't want to go in. Key is probably covered, but if you open up key like you would to change the battery, there are 2 contact points. I bent mine in a bit to make better contact with the battery. I have had no problems since then.

Default Fix

I tried that with the prongs with no results. Dealer told me to switch from Duracell to Panasonic battery… and that fixed the problem.
it doesn’t make sense, but it worked.
I used Duracell for years with no problems. Then new Duracells no longer worked.
🤷‍♂️
