Post Porsche Taycan - BlackVue DR970X-1CH 4K UHD Dashcam Installation Tutorial

North American Car - Left-Hand Drive

Items Needed:
Pry Tool (Not Necessary)

2 x ATO Add-a-Circuit Fuse Holder

(Note In This Tutorial You Will See 1 Mini Cause The Store Only Had One ATO)





Instruction:

Mount The Camera Front



Wire Routing:

Front Camera

Feed The Connector Side Wire From The Right Footwell Fuse Box Area To Right Fuse Box Area Then Up To The Passenger Side A Pillar Weather Stripping To The Windshield Roof Liner

















Wiring:

Fuse Box Panel

Open The Full Fuse Covering

Remove The Pink Fuse Holder – Top Two

Right Footwell Fuse:

Row A #12 ‘BCM Control Unit (RHD Vehicles)’ (ACC Wire Tap) & Row B #1 ‘Gateway Control Unit’ (Battery Wire Tap)

Ground Wire Taps Into Right Fuse Box Area Bolt












All Done Now Enjoy!!!

Wow! thanks for this! I have a 2CH blackvue I am looking to wire to a cayenne but it still helps. The rear could be interesting though...

Don't fear the A pillar trim removal. It just takes some pry tools and a bit of patience.

I have been using them since 2017 from Mercedes, BMW, Porsches to Lambo so far one of the best.

ok I think with all the ****ty stuff that happens here (SoCal) having 2ch in the dailies wouldn't be a bad thing. I've installed other electronics in cayenne and macan and 911 so the approach looks similar on the taycan.
