The number one question a seller gets every time. Does it matter?

It does. That's why it's the number one question.

It matters if they tell you they have had it with their electrical system problems and are tired of it being at the dealer for service. I realize it's unlikely anyone would be truthful - but you never know.

Don’t most people ask to see the service records before buying? I would.

Better yet, I wonder if a dealership would share that info, if you provided the VIN #?

With preowned valued dropping is there really any equity in a lease turn in?

there appears to be very little, the actuaries at porsche seemed to have nailed the residual value of my car

No it doesn't, but it's one I always ask, I don't care the response, I care HOW they respond.

I you responded like that, not buying your car and done with the conversation. I don't like to buy from ********.

Exactly this. How someone responds to this question whether by email, text or phone call can speak to the seller’s character and perhaps reflect how they might have cared for their car (in addition to service recs, etc). There’s plenty of taycans and GT3 in standard colors to choose from- no need to buy one from a dick who doesn’t think it’s worth his time to answer some basic questions regarding a $100K vehicle-

Walk away from the lease or use the Pull Ahead Program with Porsche, best scenarios with a Taycan lease at this point in time..

Impractical! I would have to have my head examined to own another Taycan. Great car, however too many service issues relating to recalls. As far as the pull ahead program, what does one buy? Can't get an allocation for anything worth owning in the near future. It is too bad that PAG will not make a Taycan ICE version. It would rival the Macan sales. The whole BEV thing is just overrated for what it brings to the table.

I forgot which Taycan you have but the residuals on my car '21 RWD seem a bit high relative to the current market. I have not explored an early termination, however it might be an option as my car is highly spec'd. A dealer might be just crazy enough to think they can make a few dollars.
