Default 2024 Taycan (and many others) stuck in port as of January

Our Taycan GTS Sport Turismo arrived in Houston port on January 10. Thankfully the SA has been on top of updates, but today we received some not-so-good-news. Is anyone else waiting for a car and have confirmatory or different details? I'm imagining replacing an ECU isn't a particularly fast operation.

2/1/2024 UPDATE: We recently informed you of a delay in delivering certain Porsche vehicles from ports due to a customs issue. We have been working diligently to address this, but it has now become apparent that this process will take some time to resolve, and we are consequently updating the delivery dates on certain cars currently either at ports, or due to arrive shortly. This delay does not affect either the 718 or Macan, deliveries of which continue as normal.

At issue is a small electronic component that is a part of a larger control unit, which will be replaced. Arrangements for replacement parts are being made to begin this work as soon as possible. We are working as a priority to resolve this issue and to provide you and our customers with more regular updates. In the meantime - and out of caution - we are revising the estimated delivery dates to reflect the likely delay more accurately. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together to support our customers.

I have a Taycan Turbo S and my Carrera T just arrived in Jacksonville on 1/31. Just heard the same news from my SA today. He said he is also waiting on his personal car (arrived to Jacksonville mid-January) and his delivery date just got pushed to April.

Also waiting on a GTS Sport Turismo that has been at port since 1/22. New delivery date estimate is now 4/12. They didn't actually tell me why though, so I'm guessing this is why.

From what I understand and have been told by my GM and SA at not one but two dealers is that it’ll be at least mid-April to June before these cars are released. They have to remanufacture the chip that was manufactured in Belarus which the US has sanctions against and they have to uninstall and reinstall in every single car that’s at all Ports and coming in. So it’ll be a while sorry everyone!

My GT4 RS has been stuck at San Diego port since 02/12/24. 718’s arent affected but apparently it is causing delivery delays.

Our Taycan GTS was released, already handled the ECU replacement at the dealership. Yay! Some pictures of the PTS BRG disassembly process...

Going to look great when cleaned up. Love the carbon bits on the outside. For $3,900 option wise, that SportDesign package looks nice. If you do the mirror caps alone those are like $1600 in comparison.

Anyone had any issues replacing this part that’s part of the recall? They have replaced it twice on my 24 Taycan and it still won’t take any updates. Still can’t pick up the car yet, they are trying to figure out the issue.

I'd be hesitant to take that car on delivery if you haven't purchased it yet. Ask them if they can get you a '25 at this point in a few months.

If you did purchase it already and took delivery, I'd be looking into what it might take to get a buyback if they can't resolve it the 3rd time.

I haven’t taken delivery yet but signed the paperwork a week ago last Thursday. They did receive the other part this morning and are installing it now but haven’t heard back whether or not it resolved the issue. Hoping to hear something soon.
