Hi.
I am using a mirrortap to connect my radar detector to the mirror 12V harness of a 2023 Taycan GTS. Does the 12V power turn off when locking the car? That was the case in my 991.2. In the taycan the detector stays on after locking the car. Is there a delay or does it stay on constantly?

I know the cigar lighter shuts off after a time, maybe check again in an hour.

 

Maybe, just maybe, if you wait a little while and look in the window, you would have the answer. Ugh!

 

I waited 1hr, still on. Anyone else with experience using mirrortap in a taycan?

 

I know it is a lot of trouble to reach up and turn it off, but a lot easier than rewiring the mirror tap.

FWIW - I never leave the detector in the windshield. An invitation to a broken windshield.

 

I have the mirrortap for my V1. It works normally, turning on and off with the car. You've wired incorrectly.
