Default A Premier Tire & Wheel Protection Win

Folks seem divided on whether the tire and wheel protection add-on is worth it. I decided to get it on both of the Taycans we own and it just came in handy. My wife couldn't avoid a surprise pothole and it wrecked both driver side tries. AAA towed it to the Porsche service center the next day and we got two brand new tires. No wheel damage, but if there had been they would have been replaced. Got it back the same day and only had to pay $45.00. To say we were livid is an understatement, but it ended on a good note.

I turned this down on the Taycan I just purchased, but only because it's brought up at the very end of the entire sale process and very little description about the process and limitations. I wish dealers would be more up front about this insurance and what damage does/does not qualify so buyers could make a more informed decision.

You can buy slightly used tires on Ebay for 1/3 of the cost of new tires so no need for this extra cost.
