Default Need your opinions on warranty coverage

I have 2023 Taycan which I picked it up in January and it currently has 7100 miles.
I took it to DTLA Porsche for repair and recall,
Buzzing sound when AC is on which Porsche has a service bulletin and the recall for battery leak.
The work supposed to be done by today and I just got a call from service advisor on other issues.
He sent me photos of broken tab on the bracket that holds condenser and damaged condenser(at the bottom).
He’s saying that the warranty will not cover these and the estimate will be over $3000(condensor and radiator are one unit)
As i said, I only7100 miles on the car and had absolutely no damage on the car anywhere.
How should I go about this?
Can you please let me know what are your thoughts?
Thanks

7,100 miles on a ‘23, not covered by warranty? Hard to believe! Is this the purchasing dealer?

I bought it from out of state dealership and took PECLA delivery.

Yeah I'd take it some where else... I can't believe it wouldn't be covered either.

That broken tab and the surrounding structures surely should be covered under warranty, but if you have a pinhole leak from a heat exchanger in the front of the car and the damage was from road ‘debris’, Porsche won’t cover that.

They sent me this photo and saying it’s my fault, but I don’t think it’s conclusive. Scratches on the bottom of the front spoiler lip.

Unfortunately, that looks like impact damage, which won’t be covered by warranty.

They seem to be getting quite ridiculous with such warranty considerations. The lip will easily get scratches from dips, parking bars etc - are Porsches becoming this fragile??

If that’s the case, I don’t know how you all drive Taycan and other cars like 911. My wife drives this Taycan and she’s a really good driver with lots of caution. I thought that something like spoiler lip was wear and tear item. I‘ve always thought about getting a 911, but this concerns me. If PCNA won’t do anything about it, is this something I can claim to insurance? Estimated repair cost is $3700.

If the dealership is stating the issue was caused by road debris or some other kind of impact, your insurance will pay.

It’s likely from striking something in the road that damaged the car. If you have collision insurance, this should be covered, less your deductible.

If it's covered, will that be cause of the rate increase? I am with the Statefarm.

Possibly. Your agent could probably tell you for sure.

I had two condensers punctured from road debris on past 911's. Despite my protests (arguing design flaw), PCNA would not pay for the repair. This is why I will never ever drive any Porsche without installing after market grills to protect the condensers. Those two condensers cost me over $4k. There is a reason why they are standard on GT cars. Just another money making scam by an OEM and they are not alone with this bulls__t. I had a Z car and the same thing happened in the 90's.

Condenser is bent back, not defective. Bottom of the car has an impact. 99% chance they're related. 100% chance it's not a warranty issue.

That condenser should be fine to keep like that though, it's just a slight bend and slight crushing on teh bottom but still should stay sealed, and one broken tab potentially isn't enough of an issue to make a difference for the plastic frame. I'd consider leaving it as is, especially if you're likely going to damage it again in the same way..
