Quirky “Charging error”
Last evening I drove to airport and parked in short term. Wife arrived and when I left in the car the PCM was blank except for the word Porsche. The passenger screen was also blank except for word Taycan. The car drove fine. When I got home I started to charge the car with our 50amp 40volt Porsche Charger, the my porsche app showed charging error with a red charging column in the overview. The car was accepting charge, but the my connect app was not updating and remained stalled. (I was showing more miles in the car than on the app.) I stopped the charging and planned a Porsche dealer visit this morning. After a couple of hours last night I checked The car again and All seemed normal. The car charged at both my timer and profile. The app on my phone was back to normal also with the red error gone, the green column showing charge in green, then blue when suspended for optimal period late night early morning charging.
I called Porsche Service and all I was told was to shut the car down, get away from the car with the key for several minutes and it should then correct the missing PCM. I have also left a message for the Porsche technical expert.
I just obtained this 2020 4S CPO with 8000 miles, traded the 2017 Carrera S. The Taycan is amazing. I hope I don’t have a serious problem.
Any ideas or comments are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Generally, if you lock the car, move away from it let it sleep, this issue will correct itself. In the 18mo I've had the car I've seen this 2 or 3 times. Do you have the latest software updates? (are your icons at the top of the display between the seats in color or monochrome?)
How to reboot PCM: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/th...roblems.11297/
1. Hold stop/start button for 15 seconds.
or
2. Touch with two fingers next to each other in the top right corner of the main display, select 'reboot to normal mode', confirm it, and wait for the system to reboot.
