Default Anyone changed the transmission fluid on Taycan?

Is it a simple drain and refill, or do you have to use a pump to replace all of the fluid and avoid contamination of the new fluid?

Thanks in advance.

My drive unit was replaced last years. Not sure what you mean about pumping it but dealer wasn't concerned with fluid contamination.

The need for a pump to replace automatic transmission fluid is to remove fluid that is in the torque converter and valve body that would otherwise contaminate new fluid.

Your pic doesn't appear to show provision for a torque converter, also the absence of concern by service techs regarding contamination of new fluid seems to argue for a drain and refill concept (although some service techs may not have been provided the necessary training to be able to respond authoritatively). Thanks for sharing.

I would guess the Taycan transmission is a 2 speed PDK/DCT. In that case there would be no torque converter or valving and given that it’s only two speed there would not need to even be any meaningful shifting to speak of, just two gears constantly driven by the motor and engaged with the downstream driveline one at a time by the two-way clutch all DCTs have. That would make it more like an electronically controlled differential than a typical automatic transmission and would therefore expect similar fluid service life and change procedure.

It's not PDK.
