Lightbulb Secured My Configurable GTS Allocation (US) - June Delivery

The first customizable MY 2022 Taycan GTS allocations are making their way to US dealers today (12/22), at least in California. I just secured an allocation for a GTS sedan with an April build and delivery in June. The next 6 months are going to be long and filled with sleepless nights, to say the least…

I put a deposit down at my local Bay Area dealer (which I understand has the craziest demand) in early November and I was second on the waitlist. Most of the dealers I spoke with, including the one I am working with, are marking up their pre-configured dealer allocations by about $30K. They are mostly black/silver/white and arrive in April. Fortunately, my dealer is not marking up on my configurable build slot.

Here is my build code - http://www.porsche-code.com/PNEEVZ38

Feedback on the build is welcome. The thing I am most ambivalent about is which shade of blue to go for, assuming I stick to the chalk/black interior and Satin black GTS wheels. Should I go Neptune Blue, Frozen Blue, or Gentian Blue?

Hi! I also got my allocation yesterday for a GTS. Lock up is March 18, delivery is in June. I'm also in the Bay Area (San Francisco). I had several dealers try to extort the $25k-$30k, but I refused. I'm happy with the folks I am working with.

I like yours, but I'm wondering why no technology package, and do you think you can use the Rear Axle Steering incl. Power Steering Plus in the Bay Area?

I have a friend who got the Neptune Blue and loves the color. Good luck with everything and keep in touch -- maybe we can set up a build party!

Neptune Blue is an awesome color.

Nice build. .

Would not pay over MSRP

A build party sounds fantastic. Feel free to DM me.

I think I’m going to pull the trigger on the Neptune Blue and add the Technology Package since it includes ACC “for free.” I also think RWS is good to have since it reduces your turning radius at lower speeds and increases cornering stability at high speeds. I think it will come in handy and even though you’re probably fine without it, the FOMO mixed with the fact that it’s just an extra $1.6k makes it worthwhile to me.

Congrats to you and christ0pherus on getting your allocations.

Why would RAS and PSP not be useful in the Bay Area? RAS is great for reducing the turning circle, getting in and out of tight parking spots/garages and it is great for handling when driving at speed. PSP reduces the amount of effort required to turn the steering wheel at low speeds. At higher speeds it does not do anything as far as I know.

Edit: note: I will order without RAS (and therefore without PSP) due to concerns over PSP reducing steering feel/feedback.
