My 2020 4S has this exact issue (among lots of others)
2 of the battery cells were bad - discovered while they were trying to fix other electrical issues -
Apparently Porsche was going to fly in an engineer and try to replace the 2 cells - decided it was easier to send a new battery all together - took 10 weeks.
Still making my payments and havent had the car for the last 5 MONTHS!!
Now Im waitng for a new 12V batter to arrive because it was allowed to die while waiting for the high voltage one....

Within the Tesla community, there’s a lot of nonsense that somehow Porsche is cheating to get its charging rates — suggestions of short battery life and fire risks. Fan boys are incredulous that anyone can produce a powertrain superior to Tesla, when truth be told, every most every other OEM is doing it better and 800V architectures have real advantages.
The same contingent suggests that Hyundai and Kia are selling their cars below costs when truth be told, the Tesla cars are simply overpriced.
This propaganda piece is the same BS in a different package.
Tesla has no monopoly on innovation in the EV space. Removing features and cranking up prices isn’t “innovation” that positively impacts the customer. They’re selling the oldest EV models on the market and the cars feel it compared to the competition.
The Model S is ancient AF. The Plaid is merely the “Hellcat” version of an old car. Eventually, Tesla will have to invest in new designs instead of cranking up margins on the old ones.

…and yes, Tesla cost cutting is so severe that they’re even selling people half a steering wheel. 😜

Way to try and deflect from what this thread's title is about. Again the claim was given that there is a high percentage of Porsche battery failures and this does not match what everyone else is seeing.
Just because I am a Tesla fan does not mean I believe Porsche is hiding such a thing, nor do I think they could if it was true.

This article is just BS.
The author made a followup YouTube video defending his claims by saying essentially "The claims are true because I believe the people who told me."
Uh-huh.
If 60% of Taycans were having battery issues you'd see a hell of a lot of screaming about it on the forums.
27K happy miles here.

Tesla fan here as well as Porsche. Ive never heard anyone talking about the Taycan actually. I do have to say though that the Taycan is on my short list of cars I’d like to have but not sure I’d give up the X.

Great garage! I just traded in my taycan for a turbo gt.
the taycan is hands down a better drivers car, the only reason to keep a model x is the space and practicality of it.

Tesla and it's propaganda arms sure do spend a lot of time deflecting from THE FACT THAT TWICE AS MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN INCINERATED ALIVE IN TESLAS COMPARED TO FORD PINTOS LOL

Give this guys tweets detailing Teslas long history of turning its occupants into barbecue a browse sometime, and then wonder what Tesla's propaganda arm is up to by trying to dog on the Taycan.
