Discount?
#3
I've never understood why dealers push back discounting new (configured) cars - which are typically more heavily optioned, thus higher margin, than what they order for stock - and then have to get aggressive with whatever sits on the lot.

World wide these are still supply constrained, so not a lot of price flexibility. One off the lot would be your best bet for that.

My dealer gave me 5% off MSRP on my Turbo build without me even asking. Sounds like your dealer could do better for you.

I think most dealers have very few 911's of any sort available so discounts are difficult. On an ordered and configured car in the Northeast (TTS Cab), I was able to negotiate about 3% off MSRP and it was the first one they'll receive. (I am a very good customer of this dealer). Some dealers in California are trying for ADM on ordered cars with delivery next summer, some are offering them at MSRP. VERY few are offering discounts.
SORRY, I neglected to see which thread this was related to. When I read Turbo S, I forget that Porsche applied the name to an electric car.

OP, Are you buying off the lot or ordering? If ordering, did they give you an estimate on a delivery date?
I spec'd my turbo two weeks ago and my dealer is estimating a late May/early June delivery.

Without that allocation they said probably May-June but maybe even later because of all the uncertainty due to COVID.

9% on a cancelled order that was already aboard a ship. Actually the car was about 95%+ of what I would have ordered, so I did well. Paint and interior were a perfect match for me. A heavily optioned Turbo.
And like most of you do, I get a thumbs up at least daily. Love the car.

Just submitted my Turbo S order. Pretty loaded. Was supposed to be a November build but due to the amount of Porsche Exclusive stuff (aka heavy future depreciation) they got Porsche to move it to December, end of February delivery! Can't wait. Only thing I held off on was deviated stitching. There wasn't a good option for Dolomite and it would have pushed production to March.
