Looking more closely at the pictures, I'm pretty confident the front will look pretty similar to the Mission E concept. The headlights are disguised to look like Panamera lights, but you can faintly see the Mission style lights peaking through underneath. Biggest difference with the front is the wheel arches look less pronounced which might not be as sexy.

The rear is a different story. It doesn't seem to have the floating spoiler or the bigger wheel arches as the concept.

They’ve definitely toned down the wheel arches, but it could still look good if they execute on the rest. But those wheels make me want to poke my eyes out with a stick.

Agreed. Those are AWFUL. There is no way those can be the final stock wheels (I hope....)

Couldn't agree more....they really needed to deliver the concept and transform the industry....missed opportunity IMHO.

What looks ugly are those test mules we keep seeing pictures of. The render is not bad, but are we really pissed about the wheels? After you purchase, get some HRE, Giovanna's or some aftermarket wheels.

Porsche will offer a half dozen wheel options. I wouldn't worry about that.

So a buyer, after buying his $75,000 Taycan (I know, I kid), would be expected to spend another 15% of the vehicle cost on top of that to replace something Porsche should have gotten right in the first place?

I hope what the other poster said is true, and that lots of options will be available. My only fear would be that they are all wheel types designed with maximum range in mind, but who knows. IMO they don't offer a single nice sporty wheel on the current Panamera, so the only hope is that they offer at least one wheel that resembles the concept.

I'll take the one with the quad exhaust tips please.

In all seriousness, I wonder why the difference? Wouldn't it have been easier to make one set of fakes? I guess to tell the difference between the "Carrera" version and the "Turbo"?

Which, BTW, if they use the word "Turbo" in an electric car, they will look like the biggest fools ever.

I'm really hoping the final production model has suicide doors and looks similar to the original concept. I haven't liked the looks of the panamara/maccan mash up thing with a new front that's floating around...

Likewise - BUT, the folks from Porsche told Car and Driver or Road and Track or one of those that the production Taycan will look very similar to the prototype. I think (hope?) the thing being captured in spyshots is what they are using to test the electric platform. Porsche indicated that it will look vastly different from the Panamera, and that mule being driven around practically IS a Panamera....

Still, I cross my fingers and hope it looks as close to the concept as possible.

Is the Taycan confirmed to have 4 seats? 5 would be nice!
