What should Porsche name the Mission E?

9E1? - that might be consistent with Poraches naming strategy, but since it's a different model, like the 718 is the Boxster/Cayman. Then again the Cayenne, Macan and Panamera don't relly go by numbers either.
Mission E still sounds cool to me, but maybe it's too close to the Tesla Model 3 (they wanted E, but Ford had a model E - copyrighted)
Their ad guys have already spent 100's of hours on deciding a name, along with running it by test groups, etc. I'm doubtful our 2 minutes pondering about it will be anything terribly clever, but who knows.

When I first read your post I was so distraught at the idea, I was borderline outraged.
The more I thought about it, 928 actually makes sense. The original 928 was the first 100% clean sheet designed street car from Porsche. A complete departure from everything they knew for a production automobile....
Then again, maybe call it the Edison, a subtle nod to the feud between Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison.
